Macron denies Russian journalists entry to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The French Government of Emmanuel Macrón denied accreditation to five Russian journalists for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“We are forced to inform you that the Paris-2024 Committee is obliged to reject your request for accreditation,” says a letter from the organizing committee of the Paris Olympic Games that was given to each journalist.

For her part, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, rejected such an arbitrary measure at an international event.

“Respect for the rights of journalists and freedom of expression are empty words for Macron and his henchmen,” he emphasized.

As published on the Sputnik web portal, the Paris Summer Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11.
