This Wednesday, the Government of Brazil withdrew its ambassador, Frederico Meyer, from Israel and appointed him as the representative of the Amazonian country in the Conference on Disarmament of the Organization of Nations (UN).

Through a statement, Meyer's appointment was announced, however, the text specifies whether a new Brazilian ambassador will be appointed in Tel Aviv, as published on the Sputnik portal.

It is worth remembering that President Lula was declared persona non grata by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu because last February he described the Zionist regime as “genocidal”, due to Israel's attacks against Palestine in Gaza, which record more than 36,000 people killed.
