The Living Arts School Festival 2026 incorporated urban
singing and dance into its fourth edition and extended the registration period until
October 30, with the purpose of facilitating the participation of young creators, emerging groups and
groups from the 21 municipalities of the state of Miranda.
The program will include musical genres such as hip-hop, rap and trap, as well
as dance styles such as breakdance, hip-hop dance and popping, in addition to the traditional performing disciplines contemplated at
the festival.
The initiative expands the work with these youth expressions, which were
also present at the community meeting “Guaica Show:
Resuming the Movement”, held at the Cecilio Acosta Cultural Complex in
Los Teques, where exponents of graffiti, stencil, rap and freestyle participated in a day of integration.
The territorial link of the Altos Mirandinos axis, Gabriel Salgado, highlighted
the importance of providing support to young people who develop these disciplines.
“Urban art isn't just expression, it's social transformation and a
sense of belonging in our communities,” he said.
The festival maintains a training process organized in community, municipal, state and national phases, with pedagogical support from teachers and representatives of the National Theater and Dance Companies.
