List of people eligible for the Citizens Power will be presented to the AN on November 5

On November 5, the Committee for Evaluation and Nominations of Citizens Power will present to the plenary of the National Assembly the list of those eligible for the positions of Comptroller General of the Republic, Ombudsman and Attorney General of the Republic.

This was stated by the president of the aforementioned legislative body, Giuseppe Alessandrello, who stressed that four phases must be completed to obtain the list of eligible candidates, namely: the call for applications, the evaluation phase, the challenge phase and the preparation of the list of eligible candidates.

“Unlike the other processes that have been carried out to appoint the Electoral Power, the Judiciary, in this case the law indicates a peremptory period of 30 days,” he said while calling on applicants not to leave the presentation of their credentials until the last minute.

He also explained that the approved calendar establishes 26 days to enter the list of those eligible before the plenary and then, in a sovereign manner, the National Assembly will decide on the list the members of the Citizens' Power.
