Venezuelan athlete Leonelys Suárez won the bronze medal in bullet impulse at the sixth Pan American Games for the Deaf in Brazil 2024.
Suárez took third place on the podium with a mark of 8.24 meters, thus adding the first medal for Venezuela in the competition, the Ministry of Sports reports on its Instagram account.
The Venezuelan delegation made up of more than 30 athletes will participate in 8 disciplines, such as 3×3 basketball, men's futsal, chess, karate Do, table tennis, taekwondo, athletics and swimming.
