Las Tejerías de Aragua is preparing for 5K recreational night walk

With the goal of boosting sports, healthy leisure and community integration for peace, the Santos Michelena municipality of the state of Aragua is ready to receive more than 500 participants in the great 5K Night Recreational Walk.

The day, promoted by the administration of Mayor Régulo La Cruz, seeks to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage the use of public spaces for the meeting of the entity's families and athletes. The call has generated high expectations among sports clubs, hikers, young people and older adults who will join this route, which in its fourth edition will take place at night.

La Cruz highlighted that these types of initiatives are part of the policies of sports mass expansion and strengthening social welfare in the town. “We are fine-tuning all the logistical, safety and medical deployment details to ensure that this 5K walk is a real sports festival for the town of Las Tejerías and for all the athletes who visit us from neighboring municipalities. We work for a City of Peace and the rebirth of Las Tejerias for unity and peace. Here it doesn't matter political or religious position or if you are an athlete or neighbor who wants to participate. Everyone is welcome!” , he noted.

The activity will have hydration points, protection from public security forces and surprises for participants with raffles from the private sector that joins the day, in addition to the presentation of musical groups from the entity in the well-known “after run”.
