A total of 500 people participated in the Las Tejerías 5K Night Run Walk, held this Saturday night in the Santos Michelena municipality of the state of Aragua, with the objective of offering recreational and physical well-being options to the community.

The activity was led by the governor of the entity, Joana Sánchez, and the mayor of the jurisdiction, Régulo La Cruz. “This is an activity that claims the right to the city, but also to sports, health, culture and recreation,” said the regional president.

Sánchez pointed out that the walk is part of the public policies promoted by the regional government for the enjoyment of spaces, family reunion and the rebirth of the country. For her part, La Cruz said that the event transcends sports and reflects the daily efforts of the population to build peace.

“It is an activity that all the inhabitants of the municipality have joined: merchants, farm workers, industrialists, young people, housewives, who have taken on the challenge of building the rebirth of Aragua and the town,” said the mayor.

With this sporting and cultural display, the walk is consolidated as an annual tradition that promotes community integration, health and the positive use of public spaces in the region.
