Las Delicias Zoo in Maracay begins the process of reproducing jaguars

Authorities from the Government of Aragua reported that the Las Delicias Zoo began the process of reproducing the jaguars found in the enclosure.
According to the information, emanating from the regional government, after a previous submission process carried out by their caregivers and veterinary doctor, the compatibility of the specimens was determined.
The jaguar (Panthera onca) is the largest feline in Venezuela and America, and the third largest in the world. It is threatened with extinction. In order to contribute to its conservation, the Las Delicias Zoo develops this breeding program, to maintain a captive population stable over time, as is safe, and to promote public awareness and education.
