The Multimodal Mountain Biking Park La Fuga- La Fuga Bike Park, created the first National XCO MTB Cycling Ticket, with which the first track of this sport was inaugurated in the capital city.

In these facilities located in the Felipe Acosta urban area, km. 7 of La Panamericana, Coche Parish in Caracas, 160 cyclists from all over the country participated in 19 categories, including: Pre-Children, Children, Youth, Master, Master a, Master B2 and Elite.

Eliud Baudim, director and founder of La Fuga Bike Park, said that La Fuga was born in 2014 “with the intention of looking for spaces for recreation, encouraging sports and when we arrived at this blessed urban area, located near the largest event area in Venezuela, such as La Rinconada, the Caracas Polyhedron and the Monumental, we dared to have one of the most gigantic mountain biking tracks in the country”.

Baudim said that he is one of the people who stayed in the country “betting on a nation that has to become green and it is through activities like these that allow us to show what is beautiful and good that is being done in Venezuela.”

He also announced that the La Fuga team seeks to multiply these initiatives across the country, to become dreammakers through their fighting tools, such as bicycles.

“We believe that Venezuela has a lot left to give, we have a lot to do and we are ready to host a valid Pan-American, Latin American and why not, a World Cup,” added the founder of La Fuga.

La Fuga Bike Park has 5.4 kilometers of bicycle trails, backed by the Venezuelan Cycling Federation (FVC). “In addition, it's historic, since Caracas didn't have a mountain bike circuit since the creation of the FVC in 1936. For this reason, within the framework of the right to the city, the La Fuga team offers the country the possibility of consolidating sports in an area of tolerance,” said Baudim.

For his part, Jefferson Milano, Olympic BMX cyclist and head of the Track Technical Commission, reported that the competition was supported by the Venezuelan Cycling Federation (FVC) and the International Cycling Union (UCI). “Thank God the organization of the event went very well and this is due to the support of sponsors, such as the Mayor's Office of Caracas, Banco Bicentenario, Ministry of Popular Power for Sports and private companies,” said Milano.
