Kenya: At least 42 dead after dam collapse

This Monday, at least 42 people died and dozens are still missing, after a dam overflowed in a county north of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, due to heavy rains across the country.
“We have recovered 42 bodies and many people are missing. It's a disaster,” said the commander of the police of the nearby city of Naivasha, Stephen Kirui, in statements collected by local media, specifying that the dead include 17 children.
The tragedy struck especially with the town of Kamuchiri, near the city of Mai Mahiu.
