In this regard, the political leader Luis Jonás Reyes Flores highlighted the need to “seek new methods to capture the attention of young people who are at the forefront, with their codes and thus connect us; it is important to make the effort to attract more youth in the territories and give them opportunities, to create new mechanisms of incorporation so that they feel motivated in the area of culture, recreation, sports, according to their sector and interests, all framed by the path of the Revolution ”.

For his part, José Jaramillo, parish youth liaison in the Unión parish, stressed, “if it weren't for the training given at the time by Commander Hugo Chávez, today it would be impossible for these young people to be here, in the preamble to what the great celebration of the 16th Anniversary of the JPSUV is going to do.”

Meanwhile, Aliangi Rodríguez, municipal commissioner of the JPSUV, said: “We are in a beautiful preparatory assembly celebrating 16 years of rebellion, commitment, patriotic love and historical conscience fulfilling responsibilities in the territories, in addition to recognizing the work of our political leader and the young people of the UBCH and communities, because despite the war and the economic blockade, here is a conscious and revolutionary youth.”

In addition, Reyes guided young people to create their own methods to carry out a work plan for management and political action.

With the flag, the Sun Stone, which means hope, and a four that represents our culture and the 'Being Guaro', were handed over. “Receive from our Gayón people, an original people, this Sun that is synonymous with hope. The Sun rises every day through the Essequibo and just as the Sun rises, hope is born for a better, conscious and committed country; leave the state of Lara and our municipality high and continue to fill our people with hope,” he said.
