Jóvens del Barrio celebrated the 12th Anniversary of the Gregory Canelón Boxing School

This Friday, March 22, more than 120 young athletes from all categories from 15 boxing schools in Caracas, La Guaira and Miranda participated in the anniversary activities of the Gregory Canelón Street Boxing School.

The day was held in Caracas to highlight the benefits of this training center, from which more than 30 national and 2 international champions have emerged, such as Alondra Brito, a high-performance athlete who, at only 18 years of age, managed to become World University Champion in Russia. Gregory Canelón, director of the boxing school, said that this discipline has given more than 50 world champions and 6 Olympic medals to the country.

“This school has been operating for more than a decade, we are celebrating it in this space with positive results for our country, which currently has 30 national champions, two international champions and one world-class champion. This is Alondra Morochita Brito, who has been preparing to participate in the first Bolivarian Youth Games to be held from April 4 to 14 in the city of Sucre in Bolivia,” he said.
