On October 21, 1995, the writer and playwright José Ignacio Cabrujas died, who stood out for his ironic humor and works that left traces in the country.
Intellectual, theater director, actor, chronicler, soap opera writer, radio soap opera librettist, author of screenplays, moderator of radio programs, university professor and even a political campaign designer. He was one of the innovators of the telenovela genre in Latin America. His work consists of 23 plays, 18 screenplays, 30 soap operas and miniseries and 500 press articles.
He stands out as the author of three essential pieces of Venezuelan tables: Deep (1968), Cultural Act (1976) and The Day You Love Me (1979). The Holy Trinity of the Theater, in 1962, presents Triangle, a group that includes 3 plays. “Las Pinzas” by Román Chalbaud, “Traditional Hospitality” by Cabrujas and “About the Triangle” by Isaac Chocrón.
Born on July 17, 1937 in Catia, his work is still in force in the heart of Venezuela.
