Jorge Rodríguez: There is no way that María Corina Machado can run for any position

In Venezuela, there is no way or way that the far-right María Corina Machado can be qualified to run for election to any government office, said the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez.
In this regard, during the plenary of the parliament this Thursday, Rodríguez recalled the fascist intentions of persecution of the Venezuelan people that Machado has presented as future “government plans”, which, he said, he will accompany with foreign governments.
In the same way, he stressed that during 2024, regardless of what happens in the country, presidential elections will be held, scheduled in accordance with the provisions of our Constitution.
“With sanctions or without sanctions; with opposition or without opposition; in Venezuela during 2024 there will be presidential elections because that is what the Constitution establishes,” he said.
He also reiterated that the National Government will defend to the last consequences the right of the People to go out and vote to elect the President of the Republic.
