The Venezuelan right does not make any decision or take any action without first asking the United States for the respective authorization, said Jorge Rodríguez, the general coordinator of the “Venezuela Nuestra” Campaign Command.

“The gringos have them kneeling and I am a witness to that. They cannot move their left foot after their right foot if they are not authorized to do so,” he highlighted during a press conference held this Tuesday.

On the contrary, he stressed that President Nicolás Maduro has always maintained a dignified position and has not accepted the blackmail and threats of imperialism. He recalled that when the dialogues with the right wing in Mexico, U.S. officials offered the Head of State millions of dollars, mansions on Caribbean islands to abandon his position and he “sent them to hell”.

In the same way, he recalled that during the years of the Covid-19 pandemic, while the right wing was imploring sanctions to be imposed on Venezuela, President Maduro was at the forefront of the country taking actions to circumvent the blockade and ensure that medicines and supplies for the treatment of the disease arrived.

“While Maduro was desperate to evade the blockade to buy medicines, masks, respirators, medications, vaccines, they were saying that this was an opportunity to overthrow Maduro. They were asking for invasions, sending letters to Netanyahu and Macri imploring for an invasion of Venezuela,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, he indicated that Nicolás Maduro is the only candidate who will participate in the elections on July 28 who has a real threat to his integrity. However, he stressed that, despite this situation, he does not miss the opportunity to share with the people.
