Jorge Rodríguez: “The only proof we are not going to give is to us dead”

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, stated that the only proof they are not willing to give about the assassination plans is “to us dead” because they would still say that it is a lie.

“They are not willing to recognize that they are coup plotters, they prefer to tie up their propaganda and lying apparatus. They don't believe in democracy, in the right of the Venezuelan people to live in peace,” said Rodríguez, during a press conference, from the Federal Legislative Palace.

On the other hand, he recalled that to the Government of Colombia, at that time headed by Iván Duque, “we gave him the coordinates of the military camps and he denied it. This was also denounced by President Nicolás Maduro and Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, to the United Nations.”

He also invited the Norwegian facilitators to respect his signature and his given word, in the agreements between the Bolivarian Government and a sector of the opposition: “I hope you will come to verify the states of the agreements, so that we can give you all the evidence and you will have to do something, that's why you are there.”

“You are there to act as facilitators of dialogue and negotiation and hopefully they will respect your signature and your word as we respect ours,” he said.
