During his participation as a special guest in episode number 6 of the Maduro Podcast, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, said that the first time he saw the Eternal Commander Hugo impressed him.

“I was impressed that February 4th, because he was the first politician, to call him in any way, that I saw taking responsibility for something, and that marked me,” Rodríguez said.

Rodríguez recalled that he came from corrupt, hypocritical governments and “at that moment, when I heard his statements, I told my graduate partner, that man is going to break the story in two pieces.”

He added that his first contact with Commander Chávez was when the traitor soldiers went to Plaza Altamira, “I lived in that area and I couldn't go out or enter without showing my identification as a doctor, because the coup plotters had their streets taken over.”

“During a telephone contact with Chávez on one of his programs, I asked him to get those people out of Altamira and he told me that everything was calm. I wanted it to be fast because I had that feeling of being imprisoned just because I lived in Altamira,” he said.
