Faced with the possibility that members of the Bureau of Democratic Unity (MUD) would participate in the dialogue table convened by the National Assembly (AN) to review the country's electoral laws, the far-right María Corina Machado went ahead and released a statement to dismiss this possibility.

This was denounced by the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, who pointed out that the statement was made public without the consent of the former presidential candidate of the extreme right, Edmundo González Urrutia.

“That statement was released by María Corina Machado, once again, against the three parties of the Unitary Platform that participated in the elections. They are subrogated to extremism and they don't say anything, they kneel to this lady's dictatorial designs,” he said in statements made after the first meeting held by the commission that reviews electoral laws.

On the other hand, Rodríguez stressed that this newly created body has nothing to do with the dialogue table that was set up in Barbados between the opposition and the Government.

“This is a dialogue table to advance the Venezuelan legal system so that it never happens again that violent, extremist factors use the Venezuelan electoral system to sow anxiety and violence,” he stressed while stressing that he will not hold secret meetings with the Venezuelan right under any circumstances.
