The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, led the start of Christmas this Sunday in the transitory camp of Ciudad Caribia.
The Chief of Staff for the Transitional Camps also took a tour of the single-family homes, where he was greeted with bagpipes and parties, in addition to the joy of the people who have benefited from these spaces after the earthquakes of last June 24.
“These 656 houses where you are, we are going to make 3,000, were built in three weeks and we are going to build 200 houses a week to continue bringing our sisters and brothers who are still in temporary camps,” Rodríguez said.
In this regard, he stressed that, seeing the faces of those present, he noted “that hope returned, that we can rise up from pain and that we can think that as the Christmas season comes, it is the time of encounter, it is the time of love, solidarity and generosity”, he stressed.
