Jorge Rodríguez described Brazil's veto of Venezuela in the BRICS as “shameful”, considering that Simon Bolivar's homeland has always been and will continue to be generous and supportive, despite the infamy of Kazan.

This was stated by the head of the Venezuelan Parliament since the process of dialogue with the Special Commission for the discussion of Electoral Laws and Popular Power of the state of Anzoátegui.

The deputy reiterated that this was a “real historic shame” for those who perpetrated the condition of kneeling to the designs of the one who gave them the order. That they're not exactly members of the BRICS.”

He stressed that the position taken by the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to this XVI BRICS Summit, which was held in the Russian city of Kazan, fits with the principle of creating another pole based on freedom, independence, exchange and solidarity.
