The plenary of the National Assembly will hold a debate, this Thursday, on the terrorist plans denounced by the President of the Republic and unveiled by prosecutor Tarek William Saab, to take decisive action as appropriate, said the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez.

“The AN is the space for political discussion in the country and for safeguarding this peaceful and democratic discussion. We have to hold an in-depth debate about this, we can't ignore it because it's too serious, and that's where some things will come out that we'll later share,” he said during a press conference held this Thursday.

In this regard, he stressed that the National Government will not allow it to be staged in a coup and its leaders will not allow themselves to be assassinated to fulfill the whims of the right wing. “We're not going to give them the only proof they want to validate what we say about the conspiracy,” he said.

On the other hand, he stressed that the soldiers involved in these events have “a few grains of sand in the sea” compared to the number of officers and professional troops of the FANB who are patriots and are willing to defend the homeland and the constitution.
