The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, confirmed that all the country's political factors participated in the meetings for the construction of the proposal for the 2025 electoral schedule, which was delivered this Friday to the National Electoral Council (CNE).

“These meetings were attended by all factors, the 37 political factors, including the cards that elected Manuel Rosales as governor of Zulia, Alberto Galíndez as governor of the state of Cojedes; Sergio Garrido, as governor of the state of Barinas and Morel Rodríguez, as governor of the state of Nueva Esparta, and of course all the parties of the Great Patriotic Pole, as well as all the parties of the factors of the democratic opposition who were also favored by the vote and are now deputies to the National Assembly,” Rodríguez said in his statements to the press from the CNE.

He stressed that all political factors in Venezuela have a great interest in the electoral processes of 2025. At the same time, he honored the sectors of the democratic opposition “who have never stopped participating in electoral events, which have been convened and, quite the contrary, has always promoted the institution of voting as an element for resolving political and social issues in Venezuela.”

He noted that everyone who wants to participate in elections must respect electoral laws, including the new ones that were recently approved.

“ Last year we approved, as a result of the barbaric and absurd situation that someone who was born in this territory is requesting sanctions, blockade, invasions and military interventions, then violence; the answer was the Simon Bolivar Liberation Organic Law and it must be respected, it must be applied and the CNE will surely attend not only that, but all the laws that affect choosing or being elected,” he said.

With regard to the election of the governor of Guiana Esequiba, he indicated that the CNE will organize everything corresponding to take place, since this was decided by the People in the last Consultative Referendum.

He emphasized that, after the proposal for the electoral schedule was submitted, it is now up to the CNE to make the corresponding evaluation to choose dates and summon the other public authorities to collaborate in the harmonious development of the electoral event at the scheduled time.
