Jorge Arreaza: Finally, French colonialism begins to retreat in Africa

The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA - TCP), Jorge Arreaza, welcomed the withdrawal of French troops and military bases from African territory.

“At last, French colonialism is beginning to retreat in Africa. The sovereignty of African peoples (colonized by France) begins to prevail. The French have withdrawn their troops and military bases from 7 of the 9 countries where they kept them (and not of their own free will),” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also emphasized that the next thing must be the economic and monetary liberation of these countries, “which have been tied to the CFA Franc, a currency imposed by Paris, which also obliged governments to deposit their monetary reserves in French banks” and assured that “political-military and financial independence is key for these nations to have their full right to development guaranteed!
