Venezuelan Jackson Chourio hit his first home run in his nascent career in the big leagues, in the defeat of the Milwaukee Brewers 7-3 to the Minnesota Twins, to become the youngest Venezuelan to achieve a home run in the majors.

In the fifth inning, Chourio hit a solo home run to center field against Mexican right-hander Daniel Duarte.

The young Venezuelan became the eighth player for the Brewers with at least one hit in the first five games of his career in Major League Baseball.

At only 20 years and 23 days old, the Zuliano surpassed the record set by Miguel Cabrera, who was 20 years and 63 days old when he dispatched his first flyby in the Big Tent, LVBP reports.

In addition, Chourio is the second youngest player in modern American and National League history to debut as a first bat on his team's Opening Day.
