Israeli attacks in northern Gaza destroy 50,000 homes

This Monday, during a press conference, the Emergency Committee of the cities of northern Gaza revealed that after almost eight months of aggression in the northern part of the territory, Israeli troops have destroyed 50,000 homes.

“In most municipalities in northern Gaza, around 50,000 houses were destroyed, as well as sewer pipes and roads,” said the official, whose name was not provided by Palestinian media.

Telesur also notes that it stated that “Jabalia and Beit Hanun are disaster areas due to the indescribable destruction” caused by Israel's genocidal war.

The commissioner general of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, described the destruction caused by Israeli forces in the Jabalia refugee camp as “horrible”. Lazzarini added that “thousands of displaced people have no choice but to live among the rubble and destroyed UNRWA facilities.”
