Iran warned of US-Zionist plot against Syria

The head of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf, alerted his neighbors in Syria to a plot between the governments of Israel and the United States (USA) to destabilize the country.

“The new movements of the Takfirian terrorist groups are part of a plan designed by the United States and the illegitimate Zionist regime. Syria's neighboring countries must be alert and avoid falling into the trap,” the parliamentarian published in X.

Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf reiterated Iran's firm commitment to supporting the Syrian Government in the face of the new conspiracy plan. “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of Resistance, after having defeated the Zionist regime, will continue to support the Executive and the Syrian people in the face of the new conspiracy, just as they have done in the past,” he added.

His comments come after the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly known as Al-Nusra Front) and its allied factions launched a full-scale offensive against Syrian government forces in the province of Aleppo last Wednesday.
