In a letter to the United Nations (UN), the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns Donald Trump's military threats and warns that it will respond quickly and firmly to any aggression by the United States (US) and Israel.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran solemnly warns against any military adventurism and declares that it will respond immediately and decisively to any act of aggression or attack by the United States or any of its representatives, in particular the Zionist entity, against its sovereignty, territorial integrity or national interests,” said Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Said Iravani, in the letter.

In response to recent threats from US President Donald Trump, Iravani added that these “reckless and hostile” statements also constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations, in particular its Article 2 (4), which explicitly prohibits threats or the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any State.

He also stressed that he took office in January 2025, ignores and violated all international norms and principles; in addition, the Iranian diplomat denounced that he constantly threatens independent countries with the use of force, a pattern that sets a dangerous precedent in international relations.
