Iran calls on leaders of Islamic nations to strengthen bilateral relations and promote unity

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, called on the leaders of sister nations to strengthen bilateral relations and promote unity to combat injustice, particularly in Palestine, which is suffering a genocidal campaign by Israel.

Pezeshkian held telephone meetings with various state and government leaders of Islamic nations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the celebration of the end of the holy month of fasting of Ramadan.

Telesur explained that a conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the Persian president, highlighted the “importance of strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation between Islamic countries”, and called for “the search for greater unity and harmony to face injustice and oppression more effectively”.

The president also highlighted Egypt's relentless efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The Egyptian president also expressed his desire for an immediate end to global oppression and atrocities.

With the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, the Persian leader expressed his desire to strengthen unity and cohesion among Islamic countries and to take firm and effective positions to combat crimes perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian population, especially in the Gaza Strip.
