Iran: Ayatollah assured that the coup against the US will be strong and reciprocal

The supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in statements to the press, rejected the position of the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, to threaten the Tehran authorities with bombings and secondary tariffs if a nuclear agreement is not reached.

“The United States threatens to attack us, which doesn't seem very likely to us, but if they commit any misdeeds they will undoubtedly receive a strong reciprocal blow,” said the highest Islamic authority.

Trump in an interview with a news agency said: “If they don't reach an agreement, there will be bombings. It will be bombings like you've never seen before,” he said, noting that U.S. and Iranian officials are “?” talking”, without providing further details.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry declared that an open threat of bombing by a head of state against his country is a scandalous affront to the very essence of international peace and security.

“Violence breeds violence, peace breeds peace. The United States can choose the course and face the consequences,” the entity added.
