The governments of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran are expanding strategic commercial relations, with the signing of letters of intent, as part of the agreements that emerge at the II International Telecommunications Fair (Fitelven) 2024.
With the signing of these agreements, Iran and Venezuela are strengthening the telecommunications sector, while seeking to generate new pragmatic models aimed at the development of the local economy.
The agreements were signed by Jorge Márquez, sector vice president of Public Works and Services, Jesús Aldana, president of CANTV, José Alejandro Terán, governor of the state of La Guaira and for the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Llampur, general manager of MDC, respectively.
The Islamic Republic has become one of Venezuela's main strategic allies in recent years, strengthening different commercial areas aimed at developing agreements, based on the principles of mutual cooperation and strengthening of economies.
Below are the signed documents:
- Letter of intent between the Socialist Telecommunications and Postal Services Corporation (Corpostel), the National Anonymous Telephone Company of Venezuela (CANTV) and the Novin Data Center Development Company (MDC), to set up a fiber optic factory in the country.
- Letter of commercial intent to submit a proposal for the development of productive activity within the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of the state of La Guaira, which will facilitate the conditions for the installation of a fiber optic factory.
- The third signed document was made between CANTV and MDC, with the objective of offering TWDN Decal TV transport solutions.
