In order to strengthen road safety and preserve the lives of future generations, the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) suspended the issuance of second-degree licenses for minors.
This was stated by the president of the INTT, Luis Granko, during an interview on the program “At the Rhythm of Security” of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB), broadcast by MIJP Radio.
“We took this measure as part of the awareness campaign for motorcyclists, and, to preserve the future life of the Homeland, and in accordance with those established by the Land Transport Act, which indicates that with this type of second-degree licenses, they can only drive motorcycles of up to 80cc and this type of vehicle is no longer available on the market,” he said.
Granko said that the work carried out by the institution to raise awareness among the motorized guild has been bearing fruit progressively, according to the INTT press.
“The INTT took to the streets, and we are operating daily, promoting a responsible road culture and responding to the people,” he said.
Regarding the approach to motorized vehicles, he said that they are focused on the campaign “Give a stop to the Sandoval”, and the dissemination of messages about respect for speed limits, avoiding transporting minors or more than two people on a motorcycle, to promote a responsible road culture and avoid accidents.
“We are on the street, in schools, at Citizen Service Points and in operations in each community, bringing services closer to the people,” he said.
Finally, he added that, “it's better to be a minute late than to lose your life in a minute. So be aware and drive with caution.”
