In order to raise awareness about respect for traffic laws and the reduction of road accidents, the comprehensive training plan in Preventive Management and Road Education began for motorized vehicles in the municipality of Cristóbal Rojas, in Charallave, in the state of Miranda.
During the day, the instructors combined theory and practice to address the current legal framework, defensive driving techniques, safety maneuvers for motorized vehicles and the correct use of protective equipment.
In this first phase, the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) certified more than 40 motorcycle taxi drivers and private drivers in the area.
“We will take these itinerant awareness-raising classrooms to the 21 municipalities of Miranda to safeguard the lives of drivers,” said César Patiño, Miranda's Youth Secretary.
This initiative included the joint work of the Miranda Youth Secretariat, the Ministry of Popular Power for Youth, the INTT, the Directorate of Crime Prevention (DPD) and the Mayor's Office of Cristóbal Rojas.
