Every July 7th, the International Day for Soil Conservation is celebrated with the objective of raising global awareness of the importance of preserving Mother Earth.

Since 1963, this important date has been taken into account in honor of Hugh Hammond Bennett, an American scientist, who demonstrated that soil care influences their productive capacity.

“Productive land is our foundation, because everything we do begins and is maintained with the sustained productivity of our farmland,” said Hammond.

The Bolivarian Revolution works according to the Fifth Plan of the Homeland, which establishes contributing to the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species. In this sense, it is not only about the fight against climate change, but even more so, about the development of a practical doctrine for the defense of life on the planet.
