This Saturday, international observers arrived in the state of Aragua to deploy to the entity and familiarize themselves with the electoral process that will take place this Sunday, July 28, in Venezuela.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the representative of the Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America (CEELA), Alfredo Arévalo, highlighted the atmosphere of peace and tranquility experienced before the presidential elections in the country.

“We came to observe the elections in Venezuela. We have found that everything takes place in an environment of peace and tranquility. We want the population to feel safe and to participate actively, because the popular will of each citizen will be respected,” he said.

For his part, another observer, Fernando Arwayo, from El Salvador, said that this is his first visit to Venezuela. “We had the opportunity to learn in detail about the arduous process carried out by the National Electoral Council (CNE), which has been carried out in a clean and professional manner for more than six months,” he said.

He also stressed that during the process they will observe “the opening of polling stations and the influx of voters. Later, we will move to Caracas to wait for the elections to close.”

It is important to note that both observers emphasized the meticulousness with which the machines have been installed in the voting centers, and stated that they will continue their tour of the voting centers to verify that everything is ready.
