Every August 26th is the International Day against Dengue, a date that aims to create awareness campaigns for the prevention of the disease.
Dengue fever is caused by the bite of mosquitoes whose symptoms are flu, fever, muscle and headache, chills, nausea and vomiting. If not treated in time, it can turn into a fatal condition, called hemorrhagic Dengue.
One of the recommendations made to the world's population is to eliminate places where mosquitoes can lay their eggs, such as emptying and cleaning containers that serve as storage for household water, changing the water in the vases, cutting and keeping green areas in good condition, among others.
The Bolivarian Government has taken preventive measures against Dengue through the corresponding sanitary measures and talks in the communities.
