International Day of Democracy: Venezuela an example of popular participation

On November 8, 2007, the United Nations General Assembly declared September 15 as the International Day of Democracy.
Venezuela has been an example of democracy since 1998 with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the presidency. Since the Bolivarian Revolution, the people have had access to the vote, unlike the Fourth Republic.
Venezuela has a solid Electoral System, where in Revolution the People have participated in more than 30 elections.
Currently, the country has an electoral roll of more than 20 million voters.
