As part of an environmental restoration plan aimed at protecting the coastal areas of Henri Pittier National Park, a total of 284 red mangrove propagules (Rhizophora mangle) were planted in the town of Cuyagua, in Ocumare on the Gold Coast of the state of Aragua.
The day covered two strategic points in the area: the Punta Yajure subsector, where 160 plants were established, and the Cuyagua wetland, where the remaining 124 specimens were placed, according to the institution's arrest.
The activity was coordinated by the institutional restoration program and the joint effort of the Civil Corps of Park Rangers, technicians from the entity, local volunteers and students from UEN Cuyagua.
