Indigenous peoples mobilized to participate in the second National Popular Consultation

With the ancient strength beating in the heart of the earth and the joy reflected in the faces of their women and men, the original peoples of the Monagas state are today staging an unforgettable day of union, fraternity and mass participation.

From the heroic land of the Ezequiel Zamora municipality, within the Dopooto Adelina Commune, the voice of the Kariña indigenous people resounded with force, symbolizing the roots, dignity and unwavering commitment of a community that embraces its future without forgetting its roots.

Peoples and communities participate massively in 158 communities: 22 purely indigenous and 19 mixed communes, according to a press release from the PSUV.

This historic mobilization not only represents an organizational achievement, but also a moving tribute to the heritage of the ancestors and to the indestructible spirit of the original communities of Monagas, who today write a golden page of popular leadership and love for their country.
