The decision of the Donald Trump Administration to block the funding of 268.3 million dollars allocated to so-called “Independent” Media by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has caused complaints and regrets in these parasitic and lackey media.

Let us remember that Trump closed USAID, claiming that it is a corrupt organization and that for this reason every resource allocated by this institution has been frozen, a measure that has not been liked by those media that pose as independent because if they are truly autonomous they should not depend on a government to survive like these cases below:

“The freezing of U.S. aid is wreaking havoc around the world, including journalism,” said Clayton Weimers, executive director of Reporters Without Borders in the United States in an interview with France 24.

Weimers's words are clear: “help”, in other words, that his role fulfilled the interests of USAID and therefore of the North American empire.

Others who feel suffocated are CubaNet and El Diario de Cuba, who now see their operation compromised without these resources.

“If you value our work and believe in keeping the truth alive, we ask for your support,” said the Cubanet team.

Testimonies that support that they do not correspond to a “free press”, as they were self-championing, but that they obey imperial guidelines.

“Is there something independent about a journalist, an activist or an opponent who lives on the money paid to him by the United States government through USAID and now feels suffocated when the faucet is turned off?” , questioned the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Carlos Fernández de Cossio.

It should be noted that many of the media belong to Latin America, which have been criticized for the way they denigrate the integrity and development of the peoples of the region through their way of distorting reality with every disinformation.
