INAMEH announces start of tropical wave season

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) reported the start of the tropical wave season in the country. Through a press release, the people explained that the first wave of this type could be formed between May 12 and 15, which is estimated to pass over our country 72 hours later, from east to west.
According to INAMEH, a tropical wave is an elongated area in the shape of an inverted V, which moves from east to west, across the tropical Atlantic Ocean and can cause areas of clouds and storms. In some cases it may favor the formation of tropical cyclones.
The authorities expect that the tropical wave season, which began on May 1, will last until November 30, during which time between 58 and 63 wave formations can form, of which between 50 and 55 could travel through the national territory.
