Early this Wednesday morning, Russian air defense systems intercepted and shot down two Ukrainian drones near Cape Tarkhankut, off the coast of Crimea.

According to the report of the Federation Ministry of Defense, the target of the attack was the ground equipment of the Glebovskoye underground gas reservoir, a key infrastructure for the Russian energy supply.

Soon after, a Ukrainian drone tried to attack facilities at the PJSC Rosseti Center — Bryanskenergo branch, which resulted in the disconnection of a high-voltage line, leaving the Komarichsky district without electricity.

A day earlier, a similar attack affected the infrastructure of the subsidiary PJSC Rosseti Centro — Kurskenergo, causing a cascade closure of substations that left more than 4,000 consumers in the Khomutovsky district without power supply.
