During the period from October 16 to 22, 2026, the Venezuelan Seismological and Tsunami Warning Service (SSATV) recorded a total of 109 telluric events in the national territory, as reported by the institution in its weekly seismicity report.

Through the report, the SSATV authorities reminded citizens that, although current technology does not allow predicting the occurrence of earthquakes, systematic monitoring of seismic behavior is essential for risk assessment.

“Investing in the SSATV is betting on the future of an earthquake resistant Venezuela,” the report concludes, stressing that support for seismological research is key to protecting the country's communities against possible contingencies.
