In Ocumare de la Costa de Oro! Bolivarian Government removed more than 350 tons of fallen debris as a result of earthquake movements

As part of the contingency and recovery plan deployed in the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast of Aragua, urban maintenance crews collected more than 350 tons of solid waste and debris, following the earthquakes recorded on June 24.

According to a press release, thanks to intense community and institutional work, 12 trucks full of debris from walls and peripheral structures that suffered partial collapses due to the double earthquake were removed and transported, thus clearing the main roads and ensuring the safety of bystanders.

The cleaning and clearing operation has covered as a matter of priority the critical points and residential areas of the coastal jurisdiction. Among the sectors served comprehensively are: Casco Central and Main Streets: Ocumare Pueblo, Calle Fuerzas Armadas, Calle O'Leary and Calle Vargas. Vulnerable communities and areas: Constancia 1, 2 and 3, El Rinconcito, Playón, El Malecón, Santa Eduvigis and La Coromoto as well as La Trilla, Cumboto, Cuyagua and Aponte, ensuring that agricultural and coastal areas receive the same attention.

With these actions, the Municipal Government and public service teams reaffirm their commitment to returning total normality to the Gold Coast, working tirelessly sector by sector to guarantee clean, safe and passable spaces for all coastal residents.
