Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) seized 13 cryptocurrency mining machines in a search carried out on a site located in the Los Laureles sector, Juan Germán Roscio municipality, Guárico state.
This was reported by the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, who explained that 25 mining cards, 25 power sources, four ceramic insulators and 200 meters of cables were also seized in the aforementioned procedure.
According to a message posted on his Instagram account, the senior military officer explained that because of the said teams they did not have the respective permissions and licenses for their operation.
“Venezuela is a democratic State of law and justice in which there is a legal framework that regulates virtual mining activities and the registration system of virtual miners, virtual exchange houses, and other entities dedicated to the savings and virtual brokerage of cryptoassets,” he said.
