In compliance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to rehabilitate the country's agricultural roads framed in the National Asphalt Plan, rural roads in the municipality of San José de Guaribe were repaired in order to facilitate the mobilization of inputs and crops in agricultural and livestock areas, in addition to improving the passability of the inhabitants.

With this plan, the national government, together with the local authority, delivered aggregated stone materials, asphalt mixtures, in addition to hiring mechanization, demolition, hauling, preparation, transport and labor services to fix and rehabilitate the section that includes “El Cedro” and “El Totumo”, the first hamlets to be served with this plan to improve public services and guarantee the social welfare of the Guaribero people.

The mayor of San José de Guaribe, Julio Yánez, reported that these tasks will be replicated in different sections of rural roads because they are agricultural areas par excellence in which a large part of the food required by the municipality is produced, all of this framed in the policies of President Nicolás Maduro and Governor José Vásquez.
