Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrested in the sector called Picatonal, Atures municipality of the state of Amazonas, 12 citizens dedicated to the trafficking of strategic material, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message published in his X account, he explained that at the time of their arrest, 841 kilos of Casiterita and 10 motorcycles were seized from these citizens.

“Since 1976, mining and hydrocarbon exploitation has been expressly and totally prohibited in the state of Amazonas, and compliance with our national laws and environmental protection is a constitutional citizen's duty,” he emphasized.
