During the year 2024, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) carried out 177 operational deployments throughout the national territory to ensure the comprehensive defense of our territory and sovereignty.

This was reported through an institutional video of the FANB released during the greeting ceremony of President Nicolás Maduro, where it was detailed that among these operations, Autana and Cárida stand out, with which groups dedicated to illegal mining in the state of Amazonas were combated.

In addition, during 2024, the FANB, through its intelligence and counterintelligence bodies, managed to dismantle 5 conspiracies against the National Government. In addition, during the same period, the number of Rapid Reaction Units (URRA) for the military defense of the territory increased.

In the same way, the aforementioned audiovisual highlighted the completion of the bridge on the island of Anacoco, an airstrip and an air control tower in the same space for the protection and development of our Essequibo territory.

In the training area, the Bolivarian Military University graduated in 2024 to 1,500 professionals in the military area. In the same way, our cadets participated in the 4 military games where they won 89 medals, to treasure third place in this military competition.
