In 2023, more than 5.5 billion dollars were collected through taxes

During 2023, in the country, through taxes, it was possible to collect 5.75 billion dollars, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported.

“This amount represents an increase of 26% compared to the previous year. These revenues, through the tax year, directly result in social investment, financing of public works, education, health, bonuses for the People, the Homeland System, missions and great missions, among others,” said the Head of State during the presentation of his annual message to the National Assembly.

In this regard, the President instructed SENIAT and the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to advance a plan to bring tax collection to 10 billion dollars in the coming years.

“We are going to make the plan to advance the collection of taxes for the majority and the improvement of the national tax system to reach 10 billion dollars,” he said.
