Between the end of October and the beginning of November 2026, Venezuela will receive a first disbursement of 2 billion dollars from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), as part of a financing program that includes loans totaling 12 billion dollars for the country.
The resources, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), will be allocated to the social area, including the payment of bonuses and the care of the health and education sectors. The disbursement schedule and the expected use of the funds were unofficially disclosed by the Economic Blog and reviewed by national media.
The funding plan envisages a second disbursement of 2 billion dollars in early 2027, according to published information. These contributions are part of the process of re-establishing financial relations between Venezuela and the multilateral organization, after several years of interruption.
