This Friday, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, assured that the European Union (EU) is without a budget and can no longer provide financial and military aid to Ukraine, Hispantv expands.

“The EU doesn't have a cent; it has spent all its money. When he talks about wanting to continue arming Ukraine, maintaining the Ukrainian Army, financing the functioning of the Ukrainian State in general or rebuilding Ukraine, he does it in such a way that, when he takes out the bag, he will not find a single coin,” said the first authority during an interview with a local media outlet.

The president's statements come as members of the community block, except Hungary, will sign a joint statement in support of Ukraine in Brussels, the Belgian capital.

The heads of State and Government of the block reaffirmed their commitment to continue supplying weapons and ammunition to the Ukrainian Army, a position from which Orbán disbanded himself.

In the interview, the Hungarian Prime Minister described European plans for the defense of Kiev as “empty promises”, arguing that they have no “financial backing”.
